July 2016

Burke and Dad build and launch a rocket

Dan went to OshKosh in late July for a few days to camp and fulfill his dream of being surrounded by all things airplane.

Lainey is talking up a storm. She is pretending the heating blanket's control is a phone, holding it up to her ear and saying, "hallo!"

Dan was the coach of Burke's baseball team.

Lainey was the head cheerleader.

Nonna comes to town to help cheer on Burke. Lainey eats up every minute of her Nonna time.

Burke's turn to play catcher.

Dan leading the Shawnee Storm Chasers. :)

Summer swim time on the back patio.

These two swam in a circle creating a little tornado.

Burke took swim lessons and Lainey tagged along to get some splash time.

Watch out! Don't squeeze those cheeks. They are packed with yogurt. Lainey's favorite.

A look behind the scene. This is how rockets are built.

Teeth. Teeth and more teeth. Lainey is working on molars and more. Ouch!

Happy 4th of July!.... toast

We continued tradition by going up to the Parkville parade.

We found an awesome wall painted with the American flag so we had to have a mini photo shoot.

Dan, Lainey, Joe and Ellie.

Lainey spectates as Burke plays first base.

Lainey reads (or pretends to).
Her language has exploded this month. In addition to her yodeling she is saying:
Bock (Burke), Peas (please), Day Tu (Thank You), Mommy, Daddy, Gay (Gage), Oussiie (Outside), Up, Down, Eat, Snack, Milk, wice (rice), Cheeyos (Cheerios), nodding and more.

She loves to ramble and babble. She will pretend to read and just point to the books words and go on and on. She also plays babies forever. She lays a baby doll or stuffed animal down, covers it up with a blanket and pats its back. She will also hold a doll and rock it over and over. She is a little mama!

Slip and slide!!!

Lainey takes drink from the slip and slide's spray. Yuk!

Outside our church with Charlotte (age 4) and Max (4 days older than Lainey).

Sprout hair

The end of the baseball season party at the TBones game.

Dan planted TWO gardens this year. We had:
Tomatoes, Basil, Bell Peppers, Jalepeno peppers, Cucumbers, pumpkins and lettuce.

We went to the Lake of the Ozarks with the McGowns and Paceys. A packed house of fun!

Burke & Charlotte ( a future couple)

Lainey was a really good sport about the life jacket

Dan and his fish

Are these not the cutest kids you have ever seen?

Diggin' in the sand

What mom?!? We are just coloring.

Burke went to camp Nonna's for a week so we took Lainey to the park to talk to the ducks, her favorite. We fed them bread and had donuts.

It was a nice time to realize how much our little girl is growing up.
