Burke's 42 Week- Jibber Jabber

Why hello to my blog fans. I am thinking I am pretty cute these days. Crawling, pulling up, jabbering and last, but not least.... slinging milk EVERYWHERE. Yep, I am pretty funny in Mom and Dad's eyes, as they wipe up milk off the carpet, walls and myself. Ha ha.
Love,
Burke

We went to Burke's 9 month appointment. He weighed 19 lbs, 13 oz and was 26 inches long. That puts him in the 40% for weight and 75% for length or height now that he is standing up. He can now have table food with his teeth popping through. Here he snacks on whole wheat toast and bananas.
Saturday we traveled to Manhattan to go to our friend Tina and Ryan's wedding reception. We were in Wildcat Country so we got Burke a winter hat. EMAW. Love it!
Grandma Karyl and Burke were great playmates!
 Cheese!
The Croft's all cleaned up for the wedding reception.
Lindsay had the magic touch.Burke slept for the cocktail hour on everyone's shoulder. Dan took him home to go to Grandma Karyl so we could enjoy our night out.

Burke's 41st Week- 9 Months Old and Pumpkin Patch!!!

We enjoyed one evening at the park. Burke enjoyed the swing.

A new bath mat allows Burke to scoot around in the tub worry free. He enjoys making waves in the tub... and bubbles sometimes too, which he now laughs at.
Now he pulls up in the bath tub.

Burke is 9 months old!
In just one short month he has crawled and pulled up. Each month seems to fly by faster than the one before.
He barely sat still long enough to capture this shot. He is a man on the move!

Burke loves when we help him walk. It's never too early in the morning to get some practice in with Daddy.
The fireplace is the perfect height for me to pull up.
We love to jump!
This monkey loves his bananas! Can you see that there are two little buds waiting to pop through the top of Burke's mouth? This week's teething has been a bit rough.
Spatulas and wooden spoons make for great drum sticks.
Saturday morning we met our friends Megan and Cameron to go downtown. Our friend Joe, Uncle Joe, finished his first full marathon ever! We had to go cheer him on at the finish.

A tired Joe recaps the race for us. Whew, we were tired just thinking about it.
Sunday morning we decided to go to Alldredge Orchard to check out their pumpkin patch. They typically have a wonderful Apple Orchard too, but the hail this spring ruined the apples. We'll have to do that next year.

Burke's 40th Week- To Grandma Karyl's We Go

Burke was a crawling speed demon this week. He was using a book as a sled and pushing it around on the carpet and wood floors as fast as the "book sled" would go. His poor little knees are red.

Whoa! Burke has taken interest in Gage's food and water bowls. He is just testing us to see how fast we can get to him. I have a feeling the meaning of "no" will be introduced this week.

We packed up Burke (and all his gear) and went to Manhattan for the KSU vs. Missou game.
Grandma Karyl watched Burke so we could go to the game. Saturday night we went to the annual "Big Guys" reunion with Dan's college friends at our friends, Lori and TJ's house.
Burke met a fellow "Little Guy" Lucas, Josh's son. A future generation of K Staters exchanged stares.

Nice to have night out. Thanks Grandma Karyl!
