Caroline "Lainey" Nicole Croft has arrived!

She is here!
Introducing Caroline Nicole Croft.
We will call her Lainey.

Saturday, 2/28/15, I woke up feeling Braxton Hicks contractions about 5 AM.
We started timing the contractions from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. They were 5 minutes apart, lasting 1 minute each for the hour so Dan called Aunt Nicole to make sure she was available to take Burke. I called the Dr. and we started packing up the car to go to the hospital.
This photo was taken at 9:15 AM when we were checking into the hospital.
Little did we know that Lainey was going to be born an hour and a half later at 10:45 AM.
She was so eager to enter this world that I didn't have time for an epidural. Yes, she came fast and natural. While that is not what we had intended, we are very happy that she is healthy.

Lainey weighed 7 lbs, 15 oz. and was 19.5" long.
Born at 10:44 AM with LOTS of dark hair.

Just a few minutes old.

We moved into our Mother and Baby room and Lainey's eyes were already very alert.

Big Brother Burke meets Lainey.

Look at all her hair and long eyelashes!

The Griers adopted Burke for the weekend. The cousins all meet for the first time.

Grandma Karyl made it to meet Lainey even though it was a snowy day.

Look at these lashes.

Dad sneaks in some late night snuggles in between visitors.

Getting dressed to go home on Monday morning.

Griers adopted Burke and he had a blast.

Burke was spoiled and got a new puppy dog.

Nonna and Papa come to town on Monday to meet Lainey.

Big Brother is doing a great job and loves to hold his little sister.

Happy Birthday Lainey!

February 2015

We got 1 inch of snow so Burke was raring to go and play in it.
He is not a fan of posing for photos if you can't tell.

Presidents Day!
Nonna and Papa came up to KC to visit and stayed to watch the grandkids when they had the day off for Presidents Day. Luckily we had more snow to entertain the cousins.

Pacey's and McGowns hosted a dinner to Celebrate Baby Girl mid February. What sweet friends we have. Look at the amazing cookies they had made in addition to a delicious dinner and gifts.

Megan is due with Baby Max about 1 week before us. We can't wait for our kids to grow up together.

The boys went to the MONSTER JAM to watch monster trucks, a new favorite in our house!

The countdown is on to meet our daughter. We are all ready!
Burke asked me one Saturday morning if we could go to the dr. and have him get baby sister out. If only it were that easy. I wish!

December 2014

Merry Christmas!

Burke visited Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Garmin Family Event this year. Burke told Santa he had been good this year and would like trains (again). He was not scared to hop on his lap.

Tis the season for baking. Here Burke learns the joy of licking the spatula after making Grandma Jo's recipe for banana bread.
Dusty, our elf on the shelf, returned this year and did a little baking himself. ; )
Christmas Eve Day baking of gingerbread cookies for Santa.

We had Griers, Reid Grandparents, Grandma Karyl and Grandma Jean and Richard in town for Christmas Eve 5 pm service and back to our house for chili, snacks, unwrapping of presents and family time.
Burke sets out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.

Grandmas take turns getting goodnight hugs before Santa comes.

Christmas morning!
Santa brought Burke a remote control car and two new Thomas trains.

Grandma Jean has a little extra helper to see what's inside her stocking. She brought us her famous cinnamon rolls to enjoy Christmas morning.

Time to bake again. These Santa hats were shared at Aunt Nicole's house for her Christmas brunch.

Papa & Nonna snuggles

Clementes joined us from Lawrence and Chicago at Nicole's house.

 Quality Grandma Karyl time

Grandma Karyl entertained Burke after Christmas so Dan and I could paint his baby sister's room. More decor to come.

Burke and I had the week after Christmas off to stay in our jimmies, organize the baby's room and play.

Playing Candy Land is a favorite treat after dinner.

Dan and I went to the Pacey's annual Christmas Eve Eve Party. Megan and I are due within a week of one another. I am 31 weeks pregnant in this pick.
Dan took Karyl, Burke and I flying a few days after Christmas. Burke watches a "jet" take off at the airport while daddy enters our flight into the log book.

Just a FEW Funny Things Burke Said this Month:

1. "I am Nonna's best friend cuz she made me cimmanin bread."
2. "This is awful"
3. "ICKY ICKY ICKY"
4. "Is that pretty cool?"
5. " Mom, I like you a whole bunch."
6. "When my sister gets out, she can sit in my chair."
7. "Sister can play with my trains, just not Percy, cuz it has a battery in it. I don't want her to break it."
8. Burke has discovered gum. I was giving him a speech on how we need to keep the gum in our mouth. I told him if it falls on the floor then we throw it away. I also told him it could get stuck in our hair and then we would have to get a funny haircut and maybe even shave it all off. Burke asks me, "Is that what happened to Papa's hair?"  Ha ha! Such a logical little guy.
