Dr. Lainey loves to take great care of her patients. Little did we know that Lainey would become a patient on New Years Eve.
Lainey had a typical cold that led to an infected lymph node behind her left ear. It started as a raised red bump, like a bug bite, but after 1 day it was warm white head. After a few urgent care visits and a dr. call we headed to Childrens Mercy ER. Lainey had an out patient surgery at 7 pm on New Years Eve. It was very scary but she was a tough cookie.
Thank goodness she healed well with antibiotics and lots of TLC.
This is at her 2 week follow up appointment, right after Lainey said her first sentence VERY CLEARLY (and not very nicely) to the nurse.
"No Touch MY BEE BOO!" (boo boo)
Burke turned 6 years old on January 12. He requested Dairy Queen ice cream cake.
Lainey finally has enough hair to sport some pig tails. She is "reading" to her bear.
Lainey is a girly girl. She requests dresses, but not bows. Since I was able to get a bow in, I had to document the special occasion. She loves boots and jewelry too!
We got a little bit of snow so we had to play in it.
Burke's birthday!
Burke had his 6th birthday party at Emerald City.
It is a gymnastics place in Overland Park and he invited 10 friends to swing, climb, jump and basically burn off energy.
