April 2016

This April we kept busy with Burke in soccer, playing at the park, in the front yard with our neighbors and at Deanna Rose. We don't really need to go anywhere for our entertainment.
Lainey is busy walking, dancing, jabbering and testing the limits.

Lainey's current vocabulary:
Mama
Dada
Gay (Gage)
Ooof (woof)
oooh ahh (Monkey)

Thanks to Goddard, Lainey is also doing sign language. She is now signing:
Milk
More
Please
All Done
Eat

Burke is already talking about Kindergarten. He asked me...

Burke: "Mom, is it princibol or princival?"
Me: "Are you asking about a school's princiPAL?"
Burke: "Yes, its in the office."
Me: "Its a principal, they are a person that takes care of the school, the teachers and the students... Why?"
Burke: "Oh, nothing, I just heard Miles talking about it."
Me: "Well, the principal is nice, but I hope you don't need to go to their office."
Burke: "ok, mom."

Rub a Dub Dub. Our favorite monkeys in the tub!
Burke was teaching Lainey how to dip her chin in the bubbles to get a beard. Ha ha!

We had a rough sick week. Grandma Karyl was our hero and stepped in to help us all out.
Lainey had an ear infection, the flu and some new teeth coming in.
Grandma took care of her for 2 days while she recuperated at home.
Grandma Karyl is appreciated by all!

Lainey loves to read. If you are sitting on the ground, she backs herself up and helps herself to sit in your lap and hands you a book expectingly.

At the Deanna Rose Farmstead, Lainey "baaaaa's" at the sheep.

The kids and I met my dear friend, Rebecca with Clara and Lawson, at Deanna Rose for a picnic and playdate.

Lainey wakes up HAPPY and with an untamed bedhead.
Her first words of each day are usually an animal noise.

Asleep at dinner! Poor girl

Too adorable--- I can't handle the cuteness!
