HAPPY 4th OF JULY!
Parkville Parade
BBQ & Fireworks with Paceys and Cul-de-Sac neighbors
We made a quick trip to Dallas to celebrate Bailey's high school graduation. It was great to catch up with the Phelan's busy family.
Burke was intrigued by their pet hedge hog. He called it the "spiky ball."
Burke and James hit it off like old friends.
Back in KC I took all the cousins to see How to Train Your Dragon II.
Burke experienced his first Camp Nonna this summer.
We flew him down to Wichita for a week.
Nonna kept Burke and Papa busy with learning craft projects, back porch activities, the zoo, Eberly Farms, the park and much more. I am not sure who had more fun, Burke or Nana and Papa. Dan and I enjoyed a Royals game, an adult dinner in Lawrence, toured a new school for Burke and went car shopping. We missed the guy but enjoyed our quiet time together!
Tracks, trains, bridges and building. Burke is still occupied by legos and tracks and just wants to stay in his pjs and play all day.
It has been a nice and cool summer. Boys are cuddling at the pool.
Dan and I went to the Alison Kraus and Willie Nelson concert at Starlight with the McGowns.
Aunt Megan paid us a visit and we hit a royals game.
Happy Birthday Daddy! Dan turned 34 years young this summer so we celebrated by having the Pacey's and McGowns over for lamp chops and carrot cake while the kids ran in the sprinkler.
We cleaned up the Prius and said good bye to the good lil car. We sold it on Craigs list less than a week after buying a new 2014 Honda Pilot for me. I am looking forward to heated leather seats, 4 wheel drive and more room for Burke's legs in the back so he stops kicking the seat in front of him. Isn't she pretty!?!
Our vegetables are going crazy and the tomatoes are ripening. We have fun checking on our garden each day. We can't wait for the watermelons to be ready to eat.
Burke got a medal at his final soccer game!
